Correcting permanent scars, such as those from chicken pox, is a likely off-label use for permanent fillers like Artefill (which happens to be the first permanent filler to receive FDA-approval). But a more innovative use for Artefill is being investigated by some plastic surgeons to replace the surgical procedure used to create a nipple on a reconstructed breast.
