The latest global breast-size rankings are in, and Norway is holding firmly to the top spot. According to World Population Review’s 2026 data, women in Norway average between a C and D cup. The United States and United Kingdom follow, both with an average C cup.
This year’s list looks a little different from the 2025 ranking. Venezuela, Sweden, Georgia and Australia have dropped out of the top 10, while Luxembourg, Iceland, Russia and Poland have taken their places. Here’s how the latest list breaks down:

What Changed This Year?
The top three remain unchanged, with Norway, the United States and United Kingdom holding onto their spots. Colombia, Canada and the Netherlands also remain in the top 10. New to the list are Luxembourg and Iceland, both averaging a C cup, as well as Russia and Poland, which fall into the B-to-C range.
Before we read too much into the reshuffling, it’s worth noting that breast sizes didn’t necessarily change dramatically in a year. World Population Review says there are few credible large-scale studies on average breast size, so the rankings are compiled from several smaller studies that may use different methods. That makes the list more of a snapshot than a precise year-over-year comparison.
Why Breast Size Varies
There isn’t one reason breast size differs from country to country. Genetics, age, nutrition, weight and body mass index can all play a role. The data shows a general connection between a higher BMI and a larger average cup size, but Norway is a notable exception. Its average BMI is 25.9, compared with 29.7 in the United States.
Bra sizing also makes these comparisons less straightforward. A cup letter only indicates the difference between the measurement around the fullest part of the breasts and the measurement directly beneath them. Because the band size matters, a 42C holds more volume than a 32C, even though both are labeled C cups. Sizing systems also vary around the world, which makes comparing cup sizes from one country to another even trickier.
