When it comes to getting rid of wrinkles in a flash, it’s safe to say that serious intervention is often required. Sure, you have a choice as to what you want to use to treat them, but nothing does the trick quite like injectables.

When thicker lines, wrinkles and folds are an issue, your dermatologist or plastic surgeon can use hyaluronic acid fillers, which are different from Botox because they attract water to the area to plump and fill wrinkles from the inside out rather than immobilizing the muscle. Plus, you can pretty much see the results right before your eyes (keep in mind there may be some swelling, but that should subside within a few days). “Hyaluronic acid fillers like Restylane, Restylane Silk and Juvéderm all work instantly and when done using small amounts of volume (microinjections), also serve another purpose—they can help buff skin up,” says Dr. Beer.
