There are workouts, and then there’s CorePower Yoga. If you’ve ever taken a class there, you know it’s not your average yoga experience, especially if you’ve booked Sculpt (the ultimate humbler of my fitness ability, personally). Now, the brand is adding something new to the mix: red light classes, giving its already intense workouts a wellness twist.

CorePower has partnered with HigherDOSE, the NewBeauty Award–winning brand behind a range of buzzy at-home wellness devices. You might already know its Full Body Red Light Mat ($1,343), which uses red and near-infrared LED light. Similar to at-home masks and full-body panels, it’s often associated with supporting circulation, easing post-workout soreness and helping skin look a little more refreshed with consistent use.

Available this April for a limited time, the new classes incorporate HigherDOSE’s red light mats installed along the studio walls, so you’re surrounded by red and near-infrared light as you move through the workout. The idea is to layer those aforementioned red light therapy benefits onto an already intense class, adding a subtle mood boost while you sweat.

The red light class is specifically tied to its C2: CorePower Yoga 2 classes, known for their medium to high intensity and high heat. “Turn stress into sweat,” the class overview reads. “This class strengthens, balances and detoxifies your entire body and mind as you move through more challenging postures and connected breath. Set to an energizing playlist, you’ll power up your practice like never before.”

The only catch: not every studio is getting the experience. The red light classes will roll out in select locations across major cities, including New York, Los Angeles, Miami and more. You can find out whether your location is offering the class on the brand’s website.
