Nobody has time for a 12-step morning routine when there’s a baby, a podcast and a life to manage. Claudia Oshry gets that, which is why she’s built her whole wellness philosophy around the opposite: tiny habits, real results, zero performance. She calls it “low-lift wellness.” Here, the influencer and The Toast podcast host shares how she’s managing it all and what’s working for her. We’re taking notes.
NB: You’ve been talking about “low-lift wellness.” What does that actually look like for you right now?
CO: “I believe I coined the phrase ‘low-lift wellness.’ I think the wellness movement is wonderful for people who have the time, energy and money to spend on it, but I’m really into low-lift wellness hacks—things that make me feel better without being a big deal. I’m always on the hunt for things that can make me feel good that aren’t, you know, 45-minute workout classes.”
NB: What’s something simple in your routine that actually makes a difference?
CO: “Probably tongue scraping. It’s such a small thing, and now if I don’t do it—like if I’m on vacation and don’t have one—I really feel it. I do it every day, and it makes me feel so much better.”
NB: You’ve gone back on a GLP-1. What’s it like this time around?
CO: “It’s like riding a bike. You never forget how it feels to feel good. I’m kind of obsessed with feeling good, especially now that my days are longer with work and being a mom. I don’t want to get into bed every night feeling so tired—I still want time to go out to dinner and read a book and not feel so foggy.
So, I’m back on the GLP-1. That’s why I’m always trying to do a couple of things to be really proactive, like taking the Dulcolax Daily Gut Support Gummies ($20) and drinking a lot of water, just making sure I’m—you know—keeping things moving. I have this kind of fixation on feeling good, and with the GLP-1, that’s such a big part of it.”

NB: What would you say to someone who has to take a pause on their GLP-1 medication for whatever reason? There’s a lot of anxiety surrounding that.
CO: “That’s why I always tell people, when you’re on a GLP-1, if you don’t change anything about your life, it’ll still work—but you should really use the time and the drug as a tool to change your life. I started working out four to five times a week, and I was able to maintain my weight before I got pregnant for almost a year after the drug. So, I would recommend using the time wisely and not just making the same bad decisions, but letting the drug sort of do its thing.”
NB: What’s your advice for moms trying to get their groove back?
CO: “I love that. You know, a little sweet treat. I feel like when you have a lot going on, and things get crazy, you don’t always take that moment before bed to put on a nice night cream. I like a U Beauty under-eye cream—just take that one second. I feel like there are weeks that go by when I’m really not feeling myself, and then I realize, oh, I haven’t done my skin-care routine. I haven’t done a spray tan. Tiny little things, like a manicure, go such a long way. I’m using my hands all day, changing diapers—I look at my fingers all the time. Just doing that one little thing.”
NB: What about treatments right now? Anything you’re into?
CO: “I know everybody’s into lasers, but I’m afraid of them, so I haven’t gone there yet, although I feel like I’ll probably get there soon. I love a HydraFacial. I love to dermaplane. I do it at the facialist, I do it at home. I think a HydraFacial… I remember Kameron Westcott from The Real Housewives of Dallas was on the show and told us she does them once a month, and she looked 17 years old. Ever since then, I’m obsessed. I feel like a lot of treatments you don’t see a difference, but when I leave the facial, it’s like, I actually see a difference.”
NB: When you’re getting camera-ready, what are your go-to products?
CO: “Skin is huge. My makeup doesn’t sit well on my face if I’m not taking care of my skin. I love U Beauty—I’d say about 90 percent of my skin-care routine is from the brand. I think it’s worth the price. I do have one or two La Mer products that I only use, like, biannually, because I’m saving them. Makeup is so important, but if your skin sucks, there’s no point. I love Haus Labs, I love Benefit, I love Rare Beauty, I love Rhode. I think Rhode is some of the best skin care to wear under makeup. The pocket blushes are amazing.”
NB: What is your favorite Rhode pocket blush shade?
CO: “Tan Line. I feel like everybody says Piggy or Toasted Teddy, but I’m telling you, everyone’s sleeping on Tan Line. It’s like a muted mauve. It’s the best shade.”
NB: What made your Dulcolax partnership feel like a fit?
CO: “It just felt honest. I feel like there’s nothing I really don’t talk about on the podcast. And so much of going on a GLP-1 journey is taking care of yourself from a digestive standpoint, because sometimes that can be an issue. It just felt authentic. I had already used the brand before, so it felt natural. And they’re open and honest about something people can be weird about talking about.”
NB: How do you fit the gummies into your day?
CO: “I take them in the morning. I have a little pit stop in the morning when I’m in the kitchen. I make my coffee and take everything I need to take, because if I don’t do it, then I never do. The routine aspect is so important.”
