Makeup lovers, listen up! Our worst nightmare has officially happened: Urban Decay’s best-selling, mega-loved eye shadow palette is about to be swept off store shelves forever. After eight years, the original Urban Decay Naked Palette is officially retiring, and we can’t help be feel some serious nostalgia for the product.

The 12 essential shades of this palette have been a go-to for many makeup artists and regular beauty aficionados alike, selling upwards of 30 million palettes since its inception in 2010. It even brought in more than $1 billion in sales, which is why we can’t help but be slightly surprised that the product is making its official exit.

In an obituary-like press release, the brand announced the bad news with much sadness: “Today, the beauty world mourns Urban Decay’s beloved Naked Palette, the product that revolutionized neutral eyeshadows,” it read. “A little bit naughty, often dramatic, and always in the press, the innovative game-changer and category creator will be laid to rest after eight years, without a smudge of regret.”

Urban Decay’s creator, Wende Zomnir, also paid tribute to the ground-breaking palette, writing in a press release: “Saying goodbye to NAKED is extremely bittersweet. It was a big moment in our history. It’s a little painful to leave your past behind, but it’s also essential to always evolve.”

While this is all very sad for those of us who adore the palette, here’s some good news: The brand is offering an exclusive sale so fans can get their hands on the eye shadows for one last time. Starting today, the original Naked palette will be 50 percent off across all retailers (yes, that includes both the brand’s site and Sephora!). So, get out that credit card and buy one last palette before they’re all sold out. After all, there won’t be a restock once they’re gone.
