Is mid-January too soon to talk about spring beauty trends? While New York City may be on the precipice of single-digit temperatures in the next few days, it seems like the hottest manicures have already sprung forward to the next season. Burgundy, black cherry and chocolate brown hues are out; mauves, mints and lavenders, not to mention pastel French tips and jelly pinks, are in. After the holidays I typically revert to bare nails or clean nude nail polish, but one spring nail look has caught my eye and I’m jumping on it now: strawberry milk nails.
Beauty editors are no strangers to the timelessness of sheer pink nails (there’s a reason soap nails, Bubble Bath and Ballet Slippers never go out of style), but strawberry milk nails are a decadent twist on the classic pink manicure. Less sheer and decidedly opaque, this manicure varies in pink hues, with a milky, creamy finish. Simply put, it’s as delicious-looking as a strawberry milkshake tastes.
