It’s an old beauty practice that’s been around since the dawn of time, homemade body wraps have an almost folkloric reputation for purportedly stimulating weight loss, detoxifying and skin tightening. While the temporary loss of inches is due to the loss of water weight from the inevitable sweating that happens when you wrap your body in clingy plastic, its instant slimming effect makes it a go-to solution for those who believe in the power of a good body wrap—and one of those believers is none other than Sofia Vergara.

The Modern Family star recently confessed to US Weekly that she too subscribes to the popular body treatment and doesn’t go to a spa or leave it in the hands of a licensed therapist or aesthetician. Vergara says she does her own “ceramic” wrap (we assume she means Saran wrap) in bed. Talking about her special beauty secrets, the actress shared her favorite at-home treatments: “When I have time at home I’ll do masks, I’ll put like coconut oil all over my hair, when Joey’s out of town I think I sleep like in ceramic wrap. There’s coconut oil everywhere. It’s like, I love products.”
As far as other beauty sleep practices go, when asked if she shares Heidi Klum’s penchant for wearing a bra to bed, the curvy stunner (who also just launched her own underwear line EBY) said it’s not so cut and dry. “Meaning like a real bra-bra? I’ve figured it out young, because I am a 32F, which is a 32DDD. I do wear, not like a bra with a wire or anything, but something, because it’s uncomfortable. But I think sleeping in it depends, in the summer it’s different than the winter. When you’re alone, it’s different than when your husband is in town.”
