The Best Blow Dry Bars

They’re popping up on every corner and it seems like they're almost as easy to find as a Starbucks. But with so many blowout bars out there, how do you know which ones are really worthy of trusting with your locks? We sifted through dozens to narrow it down to these five that you’ll definitely want to check out.
Celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe is credited with a plethora of accolades when it comes to fashion, and now she can add a good blowout to her list of accomplishments, too. DreamDry, the brainchild of Zoe and Robin Moraetes, constantly delivers a good blowout that even stands up to humid weather. Trust me, I put it to the test on a muggy Manhattan day and my hair didn’t frizz or fall flat.
What’s cool about it: Pick your style from the lookbook—there’s even a menu for short hair—which your stylist (they all go through a pretty lengthy training process at the DreamDry Academy) will present to you on an iPad that you can use while you get the royal treatment.
If you’re catching a flight out of New York’s LaGuardia airport and your flight is delayed, be happy. Warren-Tricomi, the salons that are synonymous with gorgeous hair and to-die-for blowouts up and down the East Coast, just opened a salon there so that you can get perfect hair before your flight departs.
What’s cool about it: The services offered are quick—you’ll be in and out in 45 minutes, tops.
Blowouts and nails are pretty much all that goes on at this Manhattan beauty shop. From basic blowouts to updos and every other hairstyle in between, we like that not a minute is wasted here. Both your blowout and your nails (choose from luxe polish lines like Tom Ford, YSL, Nars, Chanel and Christian Dior) are done at the same time so you’re in and out fast. And, you don’t even need to change seats when it’s time to dry your polish because dryers are built right into the bar.
What’s cool about it: Can’t make it there? Not to worry. Fix Beauty Bar offers the "Suite Fix at Your Location" service, which will come to you.
You probably know Benefit for their kitschy yet cute makeup line. But, what you might not know is that the brand is getting in on the blowout bar phenomenon, too, with two locations (Santa Monica, CA and Westport, CT). Get everything from voluminous waves and updos to braids.
What’s cool about it: There’s an express version available for when time is of the essence.
What do you get when you pair celebrity stylist David Babaii with Gwenyth Paltrow? The most stylish blowout bar possible. With one in every major city, plus international locales, Blo offers only seven styles to select from so you’ll never be overwhelmed when it comes to making a decision.
What’s cool about it: Besides blowouts, there are other hair services available, too, like clip-in extensions, 10-minute head massages, and even deep-conditioning treatments.
