In a new advert that features some of the most famous faces and figures of our time, SKIMS has our full attention for their new ICONS campaign featuring the brand’s Fits Everybody collection. Leave it to founder Kim Kardashian to wow us with her selection of veteran models to feature, including Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, Alessandra Ambrosia and Candice Swanepoel—all of which have earned their wings as past Victoria’s Secret Angels.
“Every woman is an icon,” Kardashian told People about the new campaign. “I see icons reflected in the women around me: my daughters, mom, and sisters. The women I work with each day are iconic, and so are the women I worked with for this campaign — Tyra, Heidi, Alessandra and Candice. The list goes on!”
This shoot marks Bank’s return to modeling any kind of lingerie or shapewear. The supermodel told BAZAAR.COM she was excited to make her return in front of the camera. “I haven’t modeled lingerie and undergarments in photos since my retirement from the runway, so shooting SKIMS was extra special.”
Banks, who is getting a round of applause from fans and commentators for her return, also shared part of the reason she signed on was to inspire others to embrace their curves. “My body is very different from my catwalk days, and I am excited to showcase it in all of its super-curvy glory,” said Banks. “Ms. Kardashian, I did it for you, girl!”
Klum also shared with her followers how the shoot was meaningful for bringing the band back together. ““It has been a while since we were all together so it was so special to be reunited.”
