Like fine wine, wisdom, and (gasp!) white hair, some things just get better with age.
Sharon Osbourne proved the latter to be true after recently debuting a dramatic white hair transformation. The 67-year-old co-host of The Talk on CBS sported her signature dark vibrant red hair for 18 years before the makeover done by Tustin, CA–based colorist and Jack Martin.

Trained in Paris, Martin specializes in a spectrum of hair colors but most notably white, silver, and gray dye jobs, from the looks of his social media. Clients often travel from Ohio, Tennessee, Florida, and all over the world, for an appointment with Martin. In an Instagram post with a before-and-after photo of Osbourne, he noted the star had 100-percent white hair and previously colored it once a week. “She explained to me that she wanted to do this transformation a long time ago but every time she attempts it, [she] ends up with a disaster,” he wrote in the caption.
To achieve the white color, Martin used Wella Blondor Multi Blonde Powder Lightener, Olaplex No. 1 and 2 (to aim to repair and prevent hair damage), and Pravana Zero Lift Color Activator with Framar color tools.
The process took a total of eight hours from start to finish. The good news? This time around, the attempt was a success—Osbourne doesn’t have to make her weekly trips to the salon for color touch-ups thanks to her new white shade. “I had a great time spending my day off with this gorgeous, humble, and sweet soul,” Martin added.
Earlier this month, Martin spent another seven hours with 82-year-old Jane Fonda to transform the actress’s hair to all-white as well just in time for the 2020 Oscars.
The ice hue may be trending now, but it couldn’t get any more classic.
