The women of The Real Housewives franchise have often gotten real about their cosmetic surgery procedures. While many women in the entertainment industry like to keep their procedures quiet, many of the Housewives have been open about their tweaks. Some of the ladies have talked to us about their experience getting work done, and others have been vocal about it elsewhere. We’ve rounded up the Real Housewives that have admitted to cosmetic procedures.
Recently, New Jersey Housewife, Dolores Catania, shared with us that she got her breasts done about nine years ago but wasn’t very happy with the results. “They weren’t sitting on me right. They were sagging. The way they looked bothered me,” explained Catania. She said her friend and fellow New Jersey Housewife Teresa Guidice got Sientra implants with New York plastic surgeon B. Aviva Preminger, MD, so she set out to do the same.
In addition to her breasts, Catania has also had other work done on her body and face. She told us she uses Dr. Mark Karolak for her face and Dr. Joseph Michales for her body. In 2020 she had a tummy tuck and liposuction.
The Real Housewives of New York City star Leah McSweeney talked with us about how pervasive lying about surgery is. She has admitted to getting a rhinoplasty, breast lift and augmentation. “Obviously, no one has to be open about things they don’t want to be open about,” said McSweeney. “Everyone has a right to their own privacy, but if you weren’t going to be selling products based on how you look and you look the way you look, not really because of that product, but because of a $100,000 worth of surgery, I think it’s fair, to be honest about it.”
One of Beverly Hills Housewife Lisa Rinna’s most striking features is her lips, which she’s been open about getting filled. She told us previously, “I think we all know the story on my lips. I don’t think we really have to talk about it—it’s pretty much out there for the world.” She feels “whatever anybody wants to do is cool. We have all these products and all these treatments, and at the end of the day, it’s all about feeling good about yourself. That’s really all I have to say about that.” Rinna has also admitted to getting a breast augmentation in the ‘90s, but not since.
Beverly Hills Housewife, Kyle Richards, told us she loves lasers and is trying to avoid the need for a facelift or filler down the road. However, she did get candid on her Instagram in 2020 about her nose job. “Since so many of you were speculating what I did or did not do to my face… here is your answer. I fixed my nose,” she wrote. Richards explained that she broke her nose the year prior, which caused the bone to protrude. “So, I fixed the bone, fixed my breathing problems and refined the top.”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Jennifer Aydin revealed that she got a rhinoplasty and chin implant, but she had her chin implant removed not too long after because she was unhappy with how it looked. Her husband, plastic surgeon Billy Aydin, MD, performed a tummy tuck back in 2019. However, she has since said her husband refuses to do any other work on her.
The Orange County Housewife has had two breast augmentations, cheek implants, fat transfer to the face, a thinned nose and a lower facelift. “I had a little bit of tweaking done, but I’m still the same person,” she told Us in 2013. “I really don’t think I look too much different. I hope I look a little bit younger, brighter, not so dried out.”
As mentioned earlier, Guidice got her breasts done and subsequently referred Catania to her doctor. Guidice also revealed during the New Jersey Ultimate Women’s Expo that she had a nose job shortly after her daughter, Gia Guidice, did. She revealed that she was nervous to get the procedure, but once it was completed, she felt more confident in her appearance.
This Atlanta star was one of the earliest Housewives to speak up about her surgeries. Back in 2010, she told People, “I’m very comfortable and confident in myself. I just wanted a tune-up,” and admitted that she got a nose job, smaller breast implants and a lift, as well as liposuction around her waist. During a 2019 appearance on The Wendy Williams Show, she revealed that there are more surgeries to come.
This Miami Housewife got her breasts done at the age of 19. Decades later, her husband, plastic surgeon Leonard Hochstein, MD, corrected her breasts, as she said they were lopsided, and went a little larger in size. “My breasts look natural,” Lisa Hochstein told InTouch. “And they’re very soft to the touch.”
Sonja Morgan, New York City Housewife, has been very open about her cosmetic surgeries. In 2020 she posted her own before and after photos following a lower facelift and neck lift.
The New Jersey Housewife stated in an Instagram post that she got her nose done. She shared that it took some time for her to get used to the new look. “I had a really hard time adjusting to my new nose, especially the first year,” wrote Manzo. “I had a prominent Italian rounded nose, and now I had this perfectly proportioned petite nose. It’s a big adjustment, especially when you live with the same face for 45 years.”
In her book, Drinking & Tweeting and Other Brandi Blunders, Beverly Hills Housewife Brandi Glanville revealed that she got vaginal rejuvenation surgery as revenge following her husband, Eddie Cibrian’s, affair. She also got her breasts done after she gave birth to her sons.
In 2017 New Jersey Housewife Jaqueline Laurita revealed to People that she got her fourth boob job. Laurita has also had surgery done on her upper eyelids and nose as well as a neck lift and tummy tuck.
The Beverly Hills Housewife has been open about her breast surgery, as well as the complications it caused while trying to breastfeed her third child. “I had absolutely no idea that this would affect anything,” Teddi Mellencamp said on her podcast.
New Jersey Housewife Caroline Manzo is notoriously anti-filler for herself. However, she has been honest about having both a tummy tuck and a facelift.
