Jennifer Lopez is no stranger to a gasp-worthy manicure; it’s practically a part of her DNA at this point (at least, in our opinion). Recent standouts include a shimmering iced chai-inspired set that left us thirsty for more and, before that, a chocolate-cherry color that had us craving sweets while doubling as major nail inspiration. We could reminisce about her past hits all day, but it’s time to spotlight something new: a coffin-shaped set featuring intricate butterfly designs and dazzling Swarovski crystals—a look that feels straight out of the early aughts.
The ornate look was brought to life by Lopez’s longtime manicurist, Tom Bachik, who shared an up-close look on Instagram with his 643,000 followers. In the caption, he wrote, “butterfly kisses,” seemingly naming the design. The manicure features a soft, holographic purple base with a mix of eye-catching embellishments. Some nails are adorned with hand-painted butterflies outlined in black, while others are encrusted with sparkling crystals in various sizes. In the rare case you haven’t already taken a peek, see Lopez’s manicure for yourself below.

Bachik also shared the exact products behind the look: Gel-X Tips from Aprés Nail, Mia Secret Black Gelux Gel Polish, his signature Tweezerman nail tools, and, of course, plenty of Swarovski crystals. As for the occasion? Lopez initially referred to the trip as a “business trip” to Dubai, posting a series of photos of herself to Instagram in chic, monochrome brown-workwear. However, Bachik later revealed on his Instagram Story that the “On the Floor singer” gave a surprise performance at the Coca-Cola Arena for the launch of Burj Azizi, what its website describes as the “world’s second tallest building.” Naturally, her nails were the perfect finishing touch.
