Marie Custeau thinks baby skin care products share a common theme: The good majority of them have baby animals printed all-over the bottle and finding non-toxic lines isn’t all that easy.

That’s why the Montreal-based mother-of-two created her Énamour brand with the goal of being the exact opposite. “I love baby animals, just not drawn on baby products,” she says. Besides being plant-based, totally without perfume, parabens, alcohols and petroleums, it also presents itself in minimally chic, recyclable glass bottles—the kind of design you want to show off on display in your house.

And it’s that packaging that first got me. I don’t have kids, but Custeau recommended I try the Protection Balm ($28) and Massage Oil ($20)—which she says doubles as a really lightweight facial oil for adults—since I was so set on sampling something, anything from the line. The all-natural duo is gold—fantastically rich, but not oily, and makes my skin feel intensely nourished without creating any makeup “slip-off.” Custeau even swears by the balm for eczema and it works particularly well on the body for treating drier patches to silky-smooth perfection.

The company is also committed to 100-percent customer satisfaction. So if the idea of using products for babies isn’t convincing, the solid return policy might be: Custeau will refund customers 100-percent if they aren’t completely “in love”—another thing she says she never has to worry about with the line.
