As we well know, every award show is chock-full with pre-award show rituals from every big name in Hollywood, and while some celebrities have glam squads larger than our families in tow to help them look flawless before walking down the red carpet, others are refreshingly down to earth when it comes to the routines they practice before the big night. Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco’s relatable makeup routine for this year’s People’s Choice Awards is the latest to leave us impressed.

According to E! Online, Cuoco relies on drugstore staple L’Oreal Elnett Satin Hairspray ($15) to keep her coif in place on stage without ever looking stiff (she just accepted the Favorite Network TV Comedy award for Big Bang Theory) and opts for BB cream—yes, even on the red carpet—when her celebrity counterparts are usually wearing layers of heavy foundation for the cameras. To keep her lightweight foundation in place, the star’s makeup artist, Jamie Greenberg, applies Mally Beauty Evercolor Poreless Face Defender ($40) to Cuoco’s entire face once everything else is applied to keep unwanted shine at bay. “I love that the formula doesn’t build,” Greenberg says. “You can apply it over and over and it just does its job.”
