’90s Hip Hop Meets Coachella 2025
Our Pinterest boards are packed with inspo for Coachella 2025, and some serious trends are already making themselves known. This year, we’re taking it all the way back to the ’90s and early 2000s to celebrate the R&B aesthetic of the era. Pinterest reports ‘old r&b aesthetic’ has grown +321 percent in the first part of the year, with accompanying trends like ’90s streetwear aesthetic’ rising to +1214 percent.
We’re expecting shades of creamy brown, bold nail looks and 90s-inspired glam to make a big comeback at the festivals this year. Even tooth jewelry, like grills, is seeing a surge in popularity around festival season, with searches for ‘cute grills for women’ seeing a +1674 percent jump.
Main Pop Girlie Energy
It’s probably no surprise to anyone that Sabrina Carpenter and her sexy good girl aesthetic have exploded over the last year. And Coachella 2025 is set to be full of main pop girls looking to embody the 2000s off-duty model look (+129 percent) or make reference to iconic fashion moments in pop culture (+1298 percent).
Alongside the still-going-strong Y2K trend, we’re also seeing upticks in leopard print looks, including a +2706 percent increase in searches for ‘red nails with leopard print’ on Pinterest.
Coachella 2025 Goes Hardcore
Punk is back this festival season. Everything from all-leather looks (+115 percent) to hardcore punk looks (+980 percent) has seen increases pre-Coachella 2025. Add to that the year-long trends of moto boho (motorcycle punk meets bohemian) and a revival of iconic brands like Doc Martin and Ed Hardy, and you have a recipe for some serious throwback looks.
Dream Goth Girl
Speaking of throwbacks, Pinterest has reported a return to the ’90s ethereal goth look. There’s been a +870 percent increase in searches for the ‘dark dreamy aesthetic’ this festival season. Think sheer-on-sheer and ruffly, flowy skirts in dark, moody colors.
