Best-selling author, TV personality, and fitness entrepreneur Amanda Kloots has a new gig that’s close to her heart and, this time she’s taking on the sometimes hush-hush subjects of self-care and mental-wellness.

“Self-care is anything that makes you feel better and furthers your mental health and wellness,” the 40-year-old shared with us. “It’s important to remember that self-care isn’t self-centered and that everyone has their own version of what that looks like to them. That concept is very powerful, which is what I love about Swanson W/I/O, the new line of mental wellness and self-care nutraceuticals I recently partnered with.”

The just-launched portfolio of products aims to offer a multitude of options via a customizable range of 21 SKUS that balance sleep, stress and cognition. For Kloots—who says the trio of drinking “plenty of water, exercising daily and getting plenty of sleep” is her big self-care secret—that also means taking a minute to make herself a priority, even with a busy schedule that includes raising her three-year-old son, Elvis, and co-hosting CBS’s The Talk.

“I make an effort daily to check in with myself and give my body and mind what it needs. Those needs will and do differ on a daily basis, so it’s all about that daily check-in. I’ve also added Swanson W/I/O’s Mental Wellness Self-Care capsules ($24) and their MagnesiUmmies gummies ($20) to my daily routine.”

Her other wellness tip that’s totally free: Setting boundaries. “It’s so important to know them and set them for yourself,” she says. “Having boundaries protects your mental and physical wellness!”
