If you’re a lover of all things Zara and a self-professed beauty connoisseur, then we have some great news for you: the fast-fashion empire is launching a makeup line on May 12. If that’s not enough for you to mark your calendars, just take a scroll through the lineup of products—everything ranges from $7 to $25, with refills starting at $5—to expect from the brand’s first leap into the industry.
According to The Zoe Report, Zara collaborated with makeup artist Diane Kendal—she’s glammed everyone from runway models to celebrities—to create the collection. What the duo came up with was an inclusive, clean, high-quality line that is also focused on sustainability with the addition of refillable packaging.
“When Zara approached me to lead the creative direction of Zara Beauty, I saw an opportunity to make something that everyone would want to use,” says Kendal according to The Zoe Report. “Zara has always reached such a diverse audience, and I wanted to bring that same big vision to beauty with a collection that is clean, refillable, and accessible to all. I am really proud of what we have created: an expansive array of consciously unique formulas for eyes, lips, face, and nails.”
The line features a wide array of must-haves: six lipsticks, four face and eye products, 39 shades of nail lacquer and six makeup brushes. Starting with the lipstick category, the brand has created the Ultimatte Matte Lipstick, the Cult Satin Lipstick, the Stiletto Demi-Matte Lipstick, and the Tinted Balm Lipstick. The matte, satin and demi-matte formulas are all beautifully pigmented, while the balm offers a slight tint of color to the pout. Zara is also launching a Nourishing Jelly Lip Oil and a Velvet Pigment Lip Gloss to top off its other new kiss-worthy essentials.
In terms of face makeup, Zara announced the launch of a blush palette, the Cheek Colour in 3 Palette, as well as a bronzer compact, which comes in nine different colors and caters to a wide range of skin tones. Last in the face category are two “pearly” highlighters, writes The Zoe Report. In the eye realm, the brand announced two different palettes: the Eye Colour in 6 Eyeshadow Palette, which comes in five different hues, and the Eye Colour in 2 Eyeshadow Duo, available in nine different combinations.
