The cast of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice hit the red carpet at the Venice International Film Festival yesterday and, as expected, the world premiere dished out a masterclass in amazing goth-chic looks. From Michael Keaton and Catherine O’Hara to Jenna Ortega and Monica Bellucci, the Tim Burton players understood the assignment. And not to be outdone was the one-and-only Winona Ryder, who brought her best Lydia Deetz–approved look to the event.

As shared by CHANEL, eternally cool-girl Ryder wore a custom look with a “grain de poule” jacket, “a white organza and crêpe de chine blouse adorned with a pleated plastron and a black tulle skirt from the CHANEL Spring-Summer 2007 Haute Couture collection.”

In pure “Winona Forever” fashion, the house reported the look took some time. “It required 224 hours of meticulous work in the ateliers at 31, rue Cambon in Paris.”

According to Ryder’s makeup artist, Francelle Daly, the star paired the black-and-white look with LOVE + CRAFT + BEAUTY line. The off-the-radar brand includes makeup, brushes and artistic embellishments.

“The look is punk rock queen,” Daly, who founded the line, shared with Vogue. “There is an ode to Lydia in the look with the purple smoky eye and lived-in liner.”

For Ryder’s hair, celeb hairstylist Ben Skervin created a chic up-do. He describes the look as a “half-moon bun with a broken fringe.”
