"The Ultimate Detangler ($17) set the standard for pain-free detangling and is here to stay, a classic must-have. What we asked with the Complete Carebrush was: What if we could build on that foundation and give hair even more benefits in one tool?” global innovation director at Tangle Teezer, Heather Page, tells us.
At the heart of the innovation is the Complete Carebrush’s patent-pending innovation. “In development for over five years, the new patent-pending teeth design is the answer. A new layout that sees the teeth placed alternately, allowing hair to flow through and enter the brush at any angle, without meeting resistance,” says Page. This isn't just a design refresh—it's a functional breakthrough. “The teeth are new shapes—oval to smooth and shine the cuticles as hair passes, and smaller triangular teeth work on the tighter tangles,” she explains. The staggered layout allows hair to flow through the brush from any angle with minimal resistance, which is why 70 percent of users reported less breakage overall in testing.
A top-to-bottom redesign
Beyond the teeth, the brush itself has been reimagined from the ground up. Page says the new brush was “cleverly designed to achieve our least ever breakage, while smoothing and enhancing hair’s natural shine,” making it “a great daily hair health tool that is the next evolution of what our brushes can bring to your beauty routine." Rather than treating detangling and shine as separate steps, this brush delivers both at once for maximum results with minimal effort. In testing, 84 percent of users agreed their hair looked smoother and shinier after use.
A larger paddle covers more surface area, longer teeth reach deeper into the hair and an improved handle grip makes the brushing experience more comfortable and controlled. The result is a tool that feels distinctly different from anything else on the market, with 80 percent of users agreeing the Complete Carebrush was unlike any hairbrush they'd used before.
Options for every hair type
True to Tangle Teezer's customization-first philosophy, the Complete Carebrush comes in three bristle-firmness options tailored to different textures. Softest is best for fine hair types, medium is ideal for straight to wavy hair and Firmest is the go-to for curly to coily hair.
