Trinity Rodman and Tara Rudd, Washington Spirit soccer players, pose together as new Sol de Janeiro brand ambassadors.

Sol de Janeiro is expanding its presence in women’s soccer, naming Trinity Rodman and Tara Rudd—two of the biggest stars in the sport—as its newest brand ambassadors. The announcement builds on the brand’s recently announced multi-year partnership with the Washington Spirit of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), under which Sol de Janeiro serves as the club’s Official Body Care and Celebration Partner.

Rodman and Rudd will represent Sol de Janeiro across its body care and fragrance lineup, including the Brazilian Bum Bum Cream and Cheirosa fragrance collection, and will front the debut of the brand’s new Intense Perfume Mist ($34), which offers up to 10 hours of scent.

The teammates have played together since 2021, when both were first-round picks in that year’s NWSL Draft. They helped lead the Washington Spirit to the NWSL Championship that same season, with Rodman also earning NWSL Rookie of the Year honors.

Rodman, a forward, has made 57 appearances for the U.S. Women’s National Team and is a two-time Ballon d'Or Féminin finalist and 2024 NWSL MVP finalist. She was recently named to the TIME100 Most Influential People in Sports and Forbes 30 Under 30 Sports lists. She also made headlines this month for a different kind of hustle, racing from a Washington Spirit match to New York to catch the closing stages of boyfriend Ben Shelton's 2026 US Open final.

“There’s so much about the brand and its energy that I connect with. I play my best when I’m having fun," Rodman says. "I like making things feel like me, whether it’s on the field, how I wear my hair, or what I’m wearing. To me, that’s confidence, and I love that Sol de Janeiro understands that, so this partnership just makes sense.”

Rudd, a defender, joined the Spirit as a forward out of USC, where she was named First Team All-American and Pac-12 Forward of the Year. After transitioning to defense in 2023, she played every minute of every league match in 2024, earning the nickname “Iron Woman,” and was named 2025 NWSL Defender of the Year and a member of the NWSL Best XI First Team. She has made 12 appearances for the U.S. Women’s National Team.

“Having Sol de Janeiro as my new teammate feels really special because they understand and celebrate the power of the female athlete,” Rudd says. “I’m proud to represent a brand that believes in the power, energy and individuality in each of us.”

The ambassadorships mark the latest step in Sol de Janeiro’s push into women’s sports, following its Washington Spirit partnership announcement earlier this year.
