When it comes to life after labor, new moms face countless changes from their lifestyle to their hair and skin. For Vanderpump Rules star, Scheana Shay, postpartum hair loss was a struggle she didn't expect to face after giving birth to her daughter, Summer Moon, in 2021.
Shay has battled with insecurities about her hairline her whole life: "My hairline typically goes back further on the right side, so that’s just always bothered me." Needless to say, when the star started losing her hair after giving birth, she became desperate for a solution to her hair-related hardships.
Shay told Page Six that she started losing hair on her "good side" around six months after giving birth to Summer Moon. For a while, she had her makeup artist use any and all cosmetics available to hide the shedding on set. Still unsatisfied with the results, Shay set her sights on solving the problem from the source.
