It’s officially the week we’ve been waiting for: Halloween week! “Halloweek,” if you will, is here, and while many of us began our celebrations this past weekend, the festivities are far from over. If you’re like me and are trying to come up with an easy, last-minute Halloween costume idea to bring to those crunch-time parties, you’re in luck. Social media queen and new brand founder Lili Reinhart just revealed how she created her chic yet spooky “third eye” makeup look—and it’s surprisingly simple.
How to Create Lili Reinhart’s ‘Third Eye’ Makeup Look
If there’s one thing we can count on Reinhart to never do, it’s gatekeep. To celebrate Halloween this weekend, the Riverdale star opted for a spooky, “third eye” makeup look and took to Instagram to give followers step-by-step instructions on how she did it, too. To start, she stamped on a temporary tattoo of an eye, making the detail-heavy part an absolute breeze. Next, she took a thin eye shadow brush and lined out a heart around the eye in white before filling it in with red pigment and layering a light gold sheen over the top.
Next, she used lash glue and tweezers to tack rhinestones around the heart in various sizes, mimicking that of Sabrina Carpenter’s iconic cutout heart corset (Intentional? Maybe. Trendy and cute? Definitely). Then, to make the third eye more detailed and mimic her own eye color, she shaded the whites of the tattoo in and then added green to the iris. The rest of the look was quite simple, featuring a natural base, terracotta shades on the lid and lash line and a few extra rhinestones under the eyes, tying the look together. Reinhart added a simple nude lip to complete the look. “Third Eye Halloween Makeup 👁️,” she wrote in the caption, “Let everyone know you are all-seeing and not to f**k with you.”
