This Cystic Acne Makeover Has the Internet Shocked

You have to see it to believe it.

Acne, especially the red and cystic type, is hard to cover up with makeup, but it can be done. Just take it from makeup artist Carla Moran who recently uploaded a video showing a makeover she did on a client whose skin was covered in acne. It’s so epic, that as of late, this one post has received hundreds of thousands of views and shares.

But here’s where it gets dicey. Can using that much makeup—we’re talking layers upon layers of foundation and concealer—be good for skin that’s that prone to breaking out?

Turns out wearing that much makeup every now and again won’t wreck havoc on your skin as long as it’s not an everyday occurrence and that only oil-free, hypoallergenic and noncomedogeic makeup is used. Lucky for this woman, Moran (she listed everything used in the makeover, see below) did just that.

And of course, you’ll want to remove everything at the end of the day. It’s never wise to go to sleep with a full face makeup on. Plus, we guarantee that even if your makeup looks good come bedtime, it won’t look nearly as good if you sleep with it on.
