One of the most beloved beauty products in the entire industry has always been Chanel’s top selling Lèvres Scintillantes Glossimer lip gloss. When we first discovered the luxurious lip color more than 15 years ago, we were instantly hooked. Available in a wide range of colors and finishes—ranging from sheer and shiny to shimmery—that could be worn solo or layered over lipstick, we, unfortunately just got word that the adored gloss is being discontinued (sniffle, sniffle). But, in its place will be Chanel Rouge Coco Gloss ($30), which is like the original formula on steroids. Light and nonsticky, this version has added the benefit of extreme moisture thanks to a formula that’s enriched with ingredients like coconut oil, peptides, vitamin E and Chanel’s proprietary Hydraboost Complex. Think serious hydration with the added benefit of plumper, fuller looking lips (minus the sting and overinjected appearance).
With 24 different shades to choose from, the product’s wand also got an upgrade. This time around it’s better shaped and more rounded so that you can perfectly apply the gloss. The dual-sided applicator is designed for the curved side to be used on the bottom lip for even coverage and the rounded side on the top lip for precision.
We can’t wait to get our hands on this one, and if it’s anything as good as its predecessor, this gloss is destined to become a classic.
