When I first took a straightening iron to my hair in the early 2000s, heat protectant was far from a thought in my mind. It didn’t really register that a flat iron could damage my hair, just that it was the tool I needed to make my hair look like everyone else's in my middle school. Now there are dozens of options for multi-tasking heat protectants to help keep our strands safe when we’re grilling them at 350 degrees. These are some of the best-selling heat protectant products out there.
