Beginning tomorrow, March 19 at 6:00 PM, Ulta will be closing all of its doors until at least March 31, the retailer shared in a press release late yesterday. “However, most stores will continue to be outlets for buy online and pick up in store, as allowed by local and state regulations,” representatives went on to say. Of course, all shoppers can continue to get their beauty fix by shopping through the Ulta Beauty app or on the retailer’s website.

So what does this mean for the tens of thousands employed by the beauty mecca? Mary Dillon, chief executive officer, fills the public in: “We understand the direct impact this will have on our associates and guests. But during these critical times, we believe it is absolutely necessary to prioritize their safety and that of the broader communities we serve. At Ulta Beauty, our associates are at the heart of our company. As such, we will continue to pay our store and salon associates and provide benefits for those who are currently enrolled during this period.”
