When it comes to life after labor, new moms face countless changes from their lifestyle to their hair and skin. For Vanderpump Rules star, Scheana Shay, postpartum hair loss was a struggle she didn’t expect to face after giving birth to her daughter, Summer Moon, in 2021.

Shay has battled with insecurities about her hairline her whole life: “My hairline typically goes back further on the right side, so that’s just always bothered me.” Needless to say, when the star started losing her hair after giving birth, she became desperate for a solution to her hair-related hardships.

Shay told Page Six that she started losing hair on her “good side” around six months after giving birth to Summer Moon. For a while, she had her makeup artist use any and all cosmetics available to hide the shedding on set. Still unsatisfied with the results, Shay set her sights on solving the problem from the source.

In addition to taking Nutrafol Hair Growth Supplements ($79), Shay says that discovering the ME Cosmetics Can’t Stop Me Now Ultimate Coverage Scalp Foundation ($60) changed the game for her. The pressed powder foundation uses reflective color to conceal thinning areas and create fuller looking hair. Shay loved the product so much she even partnered with ME Cosmetics to promote the foundation. “I was like, ‘Wait, I’m sorry, this is a scalp foundation? Sign me up!”, she says.

Having lived much of her life under the spotlight, Shay knows what its like to share details of her personal life on the daily. After facing hair loss after giving birth, the reality star vowed to stay true to fans about sharing her life, even the parts that are not so pretty.
