One of the most nostalgic beauty products out there is the iconic Lancôme Juicy Tube. At some point in the late 1990s, everyone I knew had at least one of those juicy, amazingly scented and super glossy products on hand at all times. For me, collecting them was even a thing—I loved having a rainbow collection of what I considered the best lip glosses out there.

Fast forward to 2016.  I’ve long since moved on from my sticky, high-shine gloss days, and it turns out, so has Lancôme. While the original Juicy Tubes are still around, the brand has just rolled out a completely modern, re-imagined version of the classic called Juicy Shakers. Think of the product as a pigmented lip oil—it’s comprised of color that’s suspended in five different types of nourishing oils (apricot oil to hydrate; rose de muscat oil to plump and heal; antioxidant-rich cranberry oil to protect; peach oil to soften, and almond oil to condition). Simply shake the tube to mix the pigment into the oil and then dab onto lips using the super genius and supersoft sponge cushion applicator designed to dispense just the right amount of color. Sweep the application over your lips for a sheer wash of pigment or pat it on for a more concentrated pop of color and shine.

Lancôme Juicy Shakers are available in a range of 20 shades, each retailing for $21. Like their predecessors, they smell amazing, but for the new generation of wearers, Lancôme has created a gloss that is neither sticky nor too shiny. Watch beauty vlogger Lisa Eldridge show how to use the product.
