The most elusive lip color to find isn’t the perfect red, but the perfect nude. While there’s a range of reds that could look flattering on most skin tones, with nudes, you have to hit that exact balance of warmth, color and texture. Too often nudes veer into the too-beige or too-peach territory, making you look pale and washed out, or too-pink/brown, creating a dated and aged effect.

But now, the search is over. A new gloss I recently picked up from LA-based brand Frankie Rose, is checking off all the “dos” for a gorgeous nude lip. The “Pressed Flower” shade is described as “the perfect neutral lip gloss with a hint of pink shine, but no glitter,” and on, it gives just enough rosy pink to bring life to the face, but is neutral enough to look undeniably effortless. A subtle shine (no goopy, sticky mess here) lends just enough sex appeal that will have people noticing—and commenting—on how pretty your lips look.
