Noom, the wellness platform best known for its psychology-based weight-loss program, is expanding into menopause care with a new hormone replacement therapy (HRT) offering. The initiative aims to bridge the gap in menopause treatment, providing support for women experiencing symptoms like brain fog, weight gain and mood swings, issues often left unaddressed by traditional medical care.
Three HRT Options
Despite increasing conversations around menopause, many women still struggle to access treatment. Research shows that only 30 percent of those seeking care actually receive it.
Noom Medical Director Dr. Karen Mann explains that the program begins with a medical intake questionnaire to assess each patient’s symptoms. Based on this, patients receive a personalized treatment plan that may include a transdermal estradiol patch, a bi-estrogen compounded cream or a progesterone pill.
“These three bioidentical options allow us to tailor treatment to women’s changing bodies and balance hormone levels effectively,” says Dr. Mann. “Our menopause toolkit also includes medication tracking, courses on nutrition, resistance training and behavioral strategies to support overall well-being during this transition.”
Applying the Noom Model to HRT
Following its success with GLP-1 weight-loss treatments, Noom is applying a similar model to menopause care—making treatment more accessible while integrating coaching for a holistic approach.
HRT has historically been underprescribed due to concerns from a 2002 study linking it to health risks. However, many experts have since challenged those findings, affirming that HRT is a safe and effective option for most women.
“Since then, a strong case has been made that HRT benefits longevity, vitality, metabolism and overall well-being,” says Noom CEO Geoff Cook in a press release. “We’re committed to expanding access to proactive, whole-person care, which is why we’re excited to introduce HRT as part of our mission to help people live better, longer.”
Pricing and Availability
Noom’s HRT program is available to eligible participants. Pricing starts at $69 for estrogen cream ($89/month after) and $99 for the estradiol patch ($149/month after). At launch, new Noom Healthy Weight subscribers can opt to upgrade, with plans to expand access to existing users later this year.
