As an on-air beauty expert, former HSN host Liz Folce has listened to women complain about their bodies for years. “I’ve been listening to women all over the country, learning what their real concerns are through emails, DMs, texts, and everything in between,” she says. “They were telling me they’ve been buying those outfits and leaving them in the closet and not wearing them, and that no one has been listening to us as women.” And so, Nakery Beauty, a clean body-care line debuting tomorrow on HSN, was born.

Folce says Nakery is a fun, playful spin on the word naked, as the products are meant to inspire women to feel good naked. “Nakery also means to create your private oasis—not making the bathroom or mirror something that you dread. I’ve heard from so many people that they love their age, but they want to feel better about what they see. My hope is that these products can give people confidence to celebrate life every day, using powerful ingredients in targeted solutions that actually work. For example, the SkinFirm Firming Body Treatment ($32) was designed to be like invisible shapewear for the body, and will give them the confidence to get out of the house in the little black dress they’ve been hiding in their closet for years.”

After speaking with Folce about the new line, I was most intrigued by her Embrace the Ladies Concentrated Boob Serum ($32.50) as a mom of a breastfed five-month old—I think many moms can relate. “A product like this was one of the most asked for that came out of focus groups and through DMs, emails and even from friends. Truthfully, women were asking me, ‘Hey, do you have anything for my boobs? I’m getting sagging and these crazy wrinkles, I don’t want surgery. Do I just use my moisturizer—is that going to help me?’ So I knew I had to do something that was specifically targeted to this area. The skin on our chest is different than your skin on our neck or face—think of it as like tissue-paper thin. I worked with a chemist to create our sapphire-infused Triple Peptide Complex, which is a triple-peptide blend infused with sapphire gemstones to deliver 90 times more effective and concentrated peptides for quicker, faster results. It temporarily adds volume and stimulates collagen instead of breaking it down. We also combined it with acai fruit extract and tri-hyaluronic acid. Our clinical studies came back with amazing results, both instantly and within seven days. No more turtlenecks in the summertime!”

Another formula in the six-product lineup (more are in the pipeline) that caught my attention is SkinToning CrepeTone Body Butter ($24.50), as crepey skin is a top concern we hear from NewBeauty readers and can be very frustrating to treat topically. “There are so many body butters, moisturizers and creams that only go as far as hydration, usually just sitting on top of the skin,” says Folce. “One of the biggest concerns we were hearing is crepey skin on the body, and how can we really firm up and tone our skin. I have heard so many times, ‘I just want to take my face night cream and put it all over my body, will that help?’ As a result, we added powerful skin-care ingredients like niacinamide, sugar-cane squalene, tri-hyaluronic acid and shea butter into a formula that can really work and allow her to wear a tank top and short shorts in the summertime, as well as not having to reapply. It’s not just your average body butter.”

Other products rounding out the collection at launch include SkinVitamin Pressed Body Oil Melt ($29.50), SkinRestore Body + Hand Wash ($17), and Embrace the Ladies Magic Under Boob Wand (an anti-sweat stick for underneath the boobs with an added cooling benefit; $15). The body butter, body wash and pressed body oil will be available in four different scents: Rose and Romance, Social Butterfly, Tropical Therapy and Love in Bloom.

The product packaging was also created with her community of women in mind, as many people said they’d like products that are easier to open and use due to physical limitations from carpal tunnel and other conditions. “Even people in their 30s are starting to get arthritis early in life, and our soft-touch solution doesn’t hurt your hands. We thought about everything when it came to packaging—easy to hold, easy to open, not going to break a nail—and its also easier to hold so it doesn’t drop!”
