Insider Secrets: Demi Moore’s Hot Mom Makeover featured image

If there is one actress in Hollywood that continues to defy the aging process and look better with each year, it’s Demi Moore. Seen on the left taping “General Hospital” in 1982, Demi was a fresh, round-faced newbie to the business. Today, she is a svelte, gorgeous mother of three who continues to wow on the red carpet. To find out how she looks so good, even after all these years in Hollywood, we went to the team of beauty experts who have helped the star and asked for their insider secrets. Here is what they had to say:

Long, Thick Hair
Known for her glossy dark hair that is worn either down and straight or with its natural wave, Demi’s stylist, Tara Smith, praises the star for taking good care of her strands. “Demi has superstrong, thick and lustrous hair and not a single gray.” Smith always performs a stimulating head massage to improve circulation to the follicle and promote hair growth. “For extra deep conditioning, we sometimes use Mane n’ Tail. It’s an old standby horse shampoo, and it gives her amazing shine!,” she says. “Demi also follows a well-focused way of living and doesn’t use any hair products with harsh chemicals like sodium laurel sulfates, parabens or synthetic fragrances.”

The Body-Skin Connection
One reason for Demi’s picture-perfect body is her organic, raw diet. The raw diet eliminates all processed foods, like bread and prepared meals, and focuses on fresh fruits and vegetables to provide enzymes, vitamins and minerals, which keeps her skin glowing and her body thin and toned, even into her 50s.

Clean and Classic Makeup
To create her classic beauty look, Demi’s makeup artist Jo Strettell plays up her eyes while keeping her skin light and not heavily made up. Strettell brushes on foundation and then presses it in with her fingertips; a clean powder puff absorbs any oils, and the forehead and T-zone are lightly dusted with powder. “If I’m playing up her eyes, I’ll use different color palettes, smoking and blending them together. I lighten the lid, darken the socket and lash line and lighten the inside corners to give a sexy-smoky look,” Strettell says.
