Heidi Klum has a brand-new beauty gig. On Tuesday, May 14, the 50-year-old model announced that she’s the new face of L’Oréal Paris. In this role, she joins an esteemed group of women ambassadors for the renowned drugstore brand, including Andie MacDowell, Celine Dion, Eva Longoria, and Helen Mirren, among others.
“I’m thrilled to share that I’ve joined the @lorealparis family!” Klum captioned an Instagram Reel, which was also shared on TikTok. “Proud to work with a brand that embraces women of all ages, empowerment, and self-expression. Can’t wait for the adventures ahead!”
In the accompanying video, she greeted her audience in German, her native language. “Hello, I am Heidi Klum and I am thrilled to now be part of the L’Oréal Paris family,” she said. “I want to encourage women to feel strong and beautiful, no matter their age, because we are worth it.”
The former Project Runway host also posted a series of glamorous images from the Cannes Film Festival, where she’s seemingly made her L’Oréal Paris ambassador debut. Celebrity makeup artist Linda Hay even gave fans an up-close view of Klum’s makeup for the festival, featuring shimmery eyeshadow, feathery lashes, and a sunkissed complexion.
This partnership is a perfect match for Klum, who has been a longtime user of the brand’s products. In a July 2020 interview with Elle UK, for example, she shared that her quick 15-minute makeup routine includes curling her lashes and applying L’Oréal Voluminous Mascara.
In that same interview with Elle, she described herself as her “biggest cheerleader.” When asked what she sees when she looks in the mirror, she replied, “I just check I haven’t got something on my face after breakfast and I don’t look half asleep. I believe in being kind to yourself.” Now that’s the spirit of a L’Oréal Paris ambassador.
