She drinks a lot of green juices.
Hawn has always been very vocal about her love of green juice. In a joint Allure interview with daughter Kate Hudson in 2013, Kate is asked what beauty tips she learned from her mom. The actress replied, “I think it’s more the stuff we eat.” She continues, “Like green juice—mom’s been drinking green juice forever.” In fact, Hawn even told Buzzfeed her biggest pet peeve is, “Not enough green juice.”
Recently when reporters asked Hawn about her beauty secrets on red carpet at her annual Goldie’s Love In For Kids event in Beverly Hills, she reiterated the point. “It’s not a secret. I try to drink my juices. I try to work out every day a little bit. I find moments in the day. I have short meditation spurts during the day, if I don’t have a long one in the morning, which sometimes the phone rings and you’re off and running, but I do find time to get quiet. I hike. I bike. I try to have as much fun as possible.”
She’s keeps a simple and minimal diet.
Besides just drinking a lot of green juices, in 2016, Hawn explained to People that she’s pretty careful about what she eats. “I don’t eat a lot. I think we overeat,” she told the magazine. She explains that she doesn’t like mixing foods together and instead keeps what she eats simple and minimal. “I don’t put a lot of food in my stomach and I don’t mix my foods too much. So if I want to have like protein I’ll just eat a bowl of lentils, I won’t mix it with a bunch of stuff.”
She gets a workout in when she can.
When speaking with InStyle last year, the actress explained that she stays active, even when she’s low on time. “I walk every day and I run and do all kinds of that.” She says that if you don’t have an hour, 15-minute intervals will work just fine. “If you work out for 15 minutes, it’s really good for you. If you’re taxing yourself too much in an hour, you’re taxing a lot of things. You’re building heart but you’re also using heartbeats and you only have so many.”
She indulges in a good face mask.
Celebrities are always sharing pictures of themselves wearing sheet masks, Hawn included. In March, the actress posted a picture of her behind-the-scenes beauty regimen on Instagram. In the post, Hawn is wearing big curlers in her hair and a face mask, and her caption reads: “A girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do.” She also tagged Skyn Iceland, so we can get the same one in hopes of looking as youthful and glowing.
