Gabby Windey’s televised engagement to Erich Schwer may not have the fairytale ending she hoped for, but the 31 year-old is still having one knockout year. From co-staring on The Bachelorette and becoming an instant fan-favorite on Dancing With the Stars, the reality television star is just getting started.
Windey was also nominated for a People’s Choice Award at tonight’s fan-voted show, and while Selma Blair took home the award for Favorite Competition Contestant, one thing is for certain: Windey already stole the show with a sultry makeup look, bouncy blowout and olive-toned velvet dress on the red carpet.
We got the details behind Windey’s stunning makeup look from celebrity makeup artist Farah Bunch, and we’re taking notes.
To prep Windey’s glowing skin, Bunch used a moisturizer from Elemis and topped it with LORAC’s Dewy Canvas Prep Moisturizer + Primer. To create a flawless-looking base, Bunch used Laura Mercier Silk Crème Moisturizing Foundation, a smoothing, hydrating formula she calls her all-time favorite. The Stilazzi Bahamas Blush Palette delivered a back-from-the-beach flush and for highlight and contour, Bunch used the classic Anastasia Glow Palette.
To create Windey’s smoked-out cat’s eye, Bunch used an olive shadow to “draw the eye out” before smoking it inward and using it on the top and bottom of the eye for a cohesive, sultry look. To complete the dramatic eye look, Bunch added a “pop of Scott Barnes Pin Up shadow in nude/pink in the center of the lid.” She then drew a sharp black line “just very thinly across the lash line” and added Ardell lashes to open up the eye.
On the lips, Bunch used Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Super Cindy “but with a warmer browner lip liner” for Windey’s signature pout.
