Jessie James Decker took the CMA Awards red carpet by storm in a red-hot dress paired perfectly with a bombshell blowout and a sultry makeup look. After seeing the show-stopping look, we immediately needed to know how to recreate her hairstyle for our next big night out. When it comes to the CMAs, big hair is a big part, and while the dress was attention-grabbing, her blowout spoke for itself.
Celebrity hairstylist Rick Henry used a combination of sprays to get Decker’s hair to the height it stood at all evening. Henry first used UNITE Hair BOOSTA Volumizing Spray ($30) at the roots to create a lift with a flexible hold. Once the look was finalized, he used TEXTURIZA Spray ($35) for “extra volume and hold.”
The viral Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer ($429) was used to blow out Decker’s silky strands. A variety of celeb-loved Mason Pearson hairbrushes were set out to comb her hair. Throughout his styling, Henry also employed a slew of T3 tools, including the Lucea Straightener ($190) and Singlepass Curling Irons ($170-$249) in a variety of sizes.
In addition to the UNITE sprays, Henry also called on a handful of Color Wow Hair products. Style on Steroids Color-Safe Texturizing Spray ($26) and Xtra Large Bombshell Volumizer ($26) bumped up the volume big time and added some dynamic texture to the star’s hair.
