Doja Cat is a consistent force on the red carpet, and tonight’s Billboard Music Awards was no different. The Top R&B Artist winner stunned in head to toe Schiaparelli, a sleeked-back statement pony and a fresh, glowy makeup look to tie it all together.
“Prepping the skin is essential for a glowing complexion,” says celebrity makeup artist Ernesto Casillas in an Instagram post. “I used my favorite The Ordinary and Deciem products to create a well hydrated and healthy complexion as a base for my makeup.” Casillas first cleansed Doja’s skin using the Squalane Cleanser, then “flooded the skin with a combination of Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and Hyaluronic Acid 2% +B5.” As the final step to his skin prep, Casillas “applied a generous layer” of Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA.
Casillas trusted Pat McGrath Labs makeup to create the star’s winning makeup look. Highlights include Skin Fetish Foundation, Concealer and Setting Powder, Mothership VI Palette, PermaGel Ultra Lip Pencil in Deep Dive and SatinAllure Lipstick in Venusian Peach. For her shimmery body glow, it was Pat McGrath Bridgerton x Skintillating Diamond Body Shimmer in Golden Magesty.
As for Doja’s statement strands, celebrity hairstylist Jared Henderson created the magic. Henderson straightened Doja’s hair with the ghd Platinum+ Styler, “creating a super sleek finish and pulled it into a high ponytail,” per an Instagram post. “I sprayed her hair with OGX Smoothing + Shea Sleek Humidity Blocking Hair Spray to nix any fly-aways and frizz. Next, I curled the ends of her ponytail with the ghd CURVE Soft Curl Iron to give the ends that 90’s flip.”
To finish, Henderson used the OGX Renewing Argan Oil of Morocco Weightless Healing Dry Oil “to give the hair a super high-gloss finish.”
