Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar Water ($15)

“It’s gentle and removes all makeup residue; I also use it as my cleanser in the morning.”

2 / 15

SkinCeuticals C+E Ferulic ($166)

“A patented, proven stabilized L-ascorbic acid with vitamin E and ferulic acid, because a combination of lipid and water soluble antioxidants is the best way to fight free radical damage.”

3 / 15

Skinbetter Science Alto Defense Serum ($150)

“A blend of 19 antioxidants that had been shown in studies to reduce the amount of free radicals more effectively than the market leader.”

4 / 15

Revision C+ Correcting Complex 30% ($160)

“A blend of 30% tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate (THD, lipid-soluble vitamin C), vitamin E and ingredients that support the skin microbiome; I’ll use this one when I want a moisturizer and antioxidant all in one.”

5 / 15

Senté Labs Bio Complete Serum ($110)

“A time-released retinol combined with heparan sulfate analog 2% (HSA), the latter being the most biologically active glycomaminoglycan because it binds growth factors and is  responsible for regulating a variety of cell functions, including inflammation, hydration, cell migration, etc.”

6 / 15

Skinbetter Science Alpharet Overnight Cream ($125)

“A combination of a patented hybrid compound of lactic acid and retinoic acid, which are then broken down by the water in the skin into lactic acid and retinoic acid. The advantage of this formulation is the delivery of proven actives without skin irritation. The cream also contains some glycolic acid for added skin brightening.”

Senté Labs Dermal Repair Cream ($158)

Calling this a moisturizer doesn’t really do this product justice. It contains 2-percent heparan sulfate analog, a patented bioengineered glycosaminoglycan (a sugar derived compound) with proven penetration to the skin’s dermal layer. Heparan sulfate is the most biologically active of the GAG family, which like its cousin, hyaluronic acid, can also hold 1,000 times its weight in water. Originally developed for sensitive post procedure skin, Senté Dermal Repair is tolerated by almost all skin types.”

8 / 15

Revision Revox-7 ($130)

“A peptide-rich serum that is an excellent targeted treatment for expression lines, like fine lines around the eyes. A nice way to extend the wrinkle-reducing effects of Botox/Dysport/Jeuveau/Xeomin.”

9 / 15

Skinbetter Science Sunbetter Advanced Mineral Protection Broad Spectrum SPF 56 Sunscreen Stick ($45)

I love this sunscreen because even though it is 100-percent mineral-based, it goes on sheer, without a white cast, regardless of skin color type, contains antioxidants, provides blue light protection, doesn’t feel dry, and works beautifully under makeup.”

10 / 15

Skinbetter Science Sunbetter Tone Smart Compact SPF 68 ($55)

“If I want a tinted version [of sunscreen], then I use this, which like the stick version, also happens to be excellent for touch ups during the day.”

11 / 15

ISDIN Eryfotona Actinica Ultralight Emulsion SPF 50+ ($55)

“A mineral-only (Zinc oxide 11%) lightweight lotion that works with almost any skin type and is formulated with DNA Repairsomes (DNA repair enzymes) and antioxidants. This is a great option for anyone who is prone to or has had precancerous skin growths and skin cancers, which with my personal history of stage 4 melanoma, is the one I not only use for my face, but also for my body. Better yet, It doesn’t leave white residue on my clothing.”

12 / 15

ColoreScience Total Eye SPF 35 ($69)

“A mineral-only tinted sunscreen formulated specifically for the eye area. I wear it every single day, especially now that I am sitting in front of the computer for hours at a time while we shelter in place. The iron oxides provide protection from high energy visible light, which studies have shown can also trigger damage that leads to aging skin.”

13 / 15

DefenAge 3D Eye Radiance Cream ($127)

“My current favorite eye cream because the hydrating formulation moisturizes the delicate skin around the eyes, and the peptides known as defensins target dormant stem cells in the upper layer of skin to improve skin firmness and decrease the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, while also improving the appearance of dark circles and undereye puffiness.”

14 / 15

Heliocare Ultra ($60) or ISDIN SunISDIN Supplement

“I take either of these daily. Both contain Polypodium leucotomos extract, known as PLE, which an antioxidant that is skin specific and has been proven to  decrease the effects of UVB, UVA, visible, and infrared radiation on the skin.”

15 / 15

Revision YouthFull Lip Replenisher ($35)

“To hydrate and plump the lips. It takes a village to keep this dermatologist presentable!”
