The Beckham family continues to shape our daily routines—soon, even more comprehensively. As announced on Thursday, July 11, David Beckham has been named a “strategic investor” and co-founder of a new wellness brand called IM8, launched with the health science company Prenetics. How’s that for complementing our beloved Victoria Beckham Beauty products and the former Spice Girl’s fashion empire?
Currently, David and his team are keeping details under wraps, but they’re hinting at “cutting-edge consumer health products,” according to a press statement. While they promise more information “at a later date,” they’ve shared a quote from the soccer legend to tide us over in the meantime.
“Throughout my life and career, I’ve been fortunate to have access to the best medical professionals, nutrition experts and fitness coaches,” he began. “Their guidance has been crucial to my health and well-being. That’s why I am excited to be working with Prenetics—a company that is dedicated to innovative, world-leading scientific advancements in health—as a co-founding partner and ambassador for IM8.”
The CEO and co-founder of Prenetics, Danny Yeung, also shared his two cents on the company with the press. While it doesn’t reveal any major details yet, it does highlight that the brand is already in motion. “This partnership with David marks a transformative era for Prenetics in global health innovation and wellness,” he said. “David epitomizes the values of discipline, teamwork and health, aligning perfectly with Prenetics’ core principles. Working closely with David these past months, I’ve been consistently inspired by his vision for accessible health for all. His passion and commitment are truly extraordinary. With IM8, we have a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the consumer health and wellness industry.”
As of now, an Instagram page for IM8 has already surfaced—and a website, too. The Instagram bio states, “Wellness starts from within. We believe in harnessing the power of the earth, perfected by science, to create solutions made for the human body.” On its grid, the team has shared a series of earthy images that seemingly reflect the brand’s blend of nature and health. While details remain elusive, the website hints at more: Their products will be “developed with leading scientists, including NASA’s former chief scientist.”
We’ll keep updating this post as more information becomes available.
