Susan Lucci, one of America’s favorite soap opera stars, has emerged as a fitness influencer on social media, and has more than 87,000 Instagram followers to prove it. The 71-year-old All My Children star opened up to Harper’s Bazaar about her daily skincare routine, which seems to be shaving decades off her youthful face.

“No matter how tired I am, I never go to bed with makeup on,” Lucci tells Harper’s Bazaar. A smart choice, considering one woman almost went blind after never removing her makeup. Lucci uses Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Wipes ($4) to remove her makeup every night, and then washes the rest off with Cle de Peau Beaute Softening Cleansing Foam ($68). Lucci’s cleanser not only counteracts the effects of air pollution on your skin, but also helps to moisturize and retexturize for a plumper, more supple complexion. Finally, Lucci finishes off her regimen with the SkinMedica TNS Essential Serum ($281), which is packed with proteins and amino-acids to reduce inflammation and signs of aging.

While Lucci sticks with a regimented skincare routine, she’s not afraid of a little extra anti-aging help from Botox, either (and more power to her!). “My dermatologist, Ellen Gendler, does a great job—very natural,” says Lucci. “She doesn’t completely freeze your face. You still have expression, so it doesn’t look fake,” she says. And you know what else isn’t fake? Lucci’s honesty about her graceful aging process.
