Relax, Kylie’s Arm Shadow Isn’t Proof of a Boob Job

The long-running debate of whether or not Kylie Jenner got a breast augmentation is still going strong, but fans believe there’s new evidence to back up their speculation. In a recent Instagram post, Jenner gave her followers a peek at a photo shoot she did with Flaunt Magazine, and one image in particular has people up in arms.

The Barbie-themed image in question shows Jenner wearing a bright blond wig, gazing over her shoulder at the camera with the caption “life in plastic it’s fantastic,” accompanying it. Obviously, the photo shoot is meant to give off some artificial vibes, especially with the quote from the 1997 song “Barbie Girl” added to it. But, while the theme makes total sense, fans are calling Jenner out for having a visible line along her side boob, claiming it’s an indication of a past breast augmentation and that the caption hosts a double meaning.
While it does look a bit iffy at first glance, we can’t help but assume that it’s just an arm shadow. Considering Jenner has only admitted to getting temporary lip fillers in the past, it seems unlikely that’d she’d admit to a breast augmentation—or any other cosmetic procedure—via a Barbie-themed photo shoot. However, that’s certainly not to say that she hasn’t gotten work done (one look at the star and it’s pretty clear that she doesn’t shy away from cosmetic treatments).
In fact, Vero Beach, FL, plastic surgeon Alan Durkin, MD, confirms that it’s likely the line on Jenner’s side boob isn't a surgical scar. “It does not appear that this specific spot represents a surgical scar, as that particular region is not routinely or appropriately used to place or remove breast implants,” he explains.
When it comes to breast implants, the scar will typically follow the curve of the breast, not appear straight up and down like in the image of Jenner. Also, if it was a surgical scar, we have a feeling Jenner would make sure it was photoshopped out of her photo shoot, so we should all just lay this one to rest for now.
