The Best New Fragrances to Try This Month
Grand Cuvée by Vacation Eau de Toilette ($60)
It’s giving big White Lotus vibes, and the timing is impeccable as we eagerly await the season finale. The brand describes this genderless, chardonnay-inspired scent as a “ceremonious toast to the finer things in life,” and we agree. It’s meant to transport its wearers “port side atop a teakwood-decked yacht at sunset, sabering the cork from a bottle of the province’s finest.” Expect a summer feeling with hints of fruitiness, but it’s also rich, warm and woody.

Ferragamo FIAMMA Eau de Parfum (Starting at $105)
The first fragrance dreamt up by Maximilian Davis, creative director of the House of Ferragamo, this amber-floral fragrance is equal parts luxurious and unique. Plus, the 3.4-ounce bottle is refillable.
“Normally Interparfums is able to launch a new perfume from scratch in 18 months,” says Jean Madar, chairman, cofounder and CEO of Interparfums Inc. “This time, it took us almost three years because with this new blockbuster, we needed to send out three messages: a new fragrance, a new time also for Ferragamo, and a new logo.”
“Fiamma is a very special fragrance because it was a scent that came about from a very collaborative and inspiring place—working very closely with the brand in creating their vision of a scent that encompasses the brand’s DNA with a fresh, modern twist,” says principal perfumer Clement Gavarry of dsm-firmenich. “Through our collaboration with the brand, I drew inspiration from the brand’s rich heritage: its fashion, art and architecture, which led me to find ingredients that could tell this story olfactively. The result was a fragrance with modern notes of gardenia and jasmine with ambrox to add warmth. It is not just a scent, but a statement, and that is what sets it apart.”

Ellis Brooklyn Guava Granita Eau de Parfum ($115)
When a brand describes its new fruity-floral fragrance as “lush, escapist and country club chic,” who wouldn’t want to try it? Envision a girls weekend in Palm Springs sipping tropical cocktails (but not the sickeningly sweet ones). It’s a “happy place” scent you’ll want to keep spritzing all summer.
“I love the idea of using perfumery for escapism,” says founder Bee Shapiro. “It started with SALT and MIAMI NECTAR, and now with GUAVA GRANITA, it was to create this chic, country club escape. The fragrance is both fun yet refined and it takes you to this place: Palm Springs, crisp polos, drink and tennis racquet in hand.”
