She may be on speed dial for many celeb’s radiant complexions and her Retinol Reform is a cult favorite that is hard to keep stocked on Sephora’s shelves, and now Shani Darden is showing social media an inside look at some of her high-tech, in-the-treatment-room secrets.
As posted on TikTok and Instagram, Darden shared a quick tutorial of her microcurrent gloves, explaining that the technology is one of her favorite treatments to help combat the signs of aging, as she slipped them on, hooked them up to her Facial Sculpting Wands and gently massaged her face.
“These microcurrent gloves are great for helping to lift and tone the face, helping my clients see a visible lift even after just one treatment,” Darden said in the post, and exclusively shared with us that, overall, microcurrent is one of her favorite treatments.
“It doesn’t require any downtime whatsoever, and you leave looking lifted and glowing. Microcurrent uses low-level electrical current to tone, tighten and lift the muscles. It’s essentially exercise for your facial muscles. It will retrain your facial muscles to stay in a more lifted position, so it’s a really incredible treatment for keeping skin looking youthful.”
As for the microcurrent gloves, Darden says that the have metal threads throughout and allow for a more equally distributed treatment as opposed to a more standard microcurrent treatment with probes. “A microcurrent probe treatment is still supereffective, but it’s a little more localized. Using both hands at the same time also allows for a quicker treatment. Another thing I love is that you can literally scoop up the cheek muscles for more lifted and sculpted cheekbones! It’s also amazing as a preventative treatment too. If you start getting microcurrent done early on before your face starts to drop, it will really help to keep everything lifted.”
While you can’t quite take them home (Darden’s team tells us the circulation-boosters are only available “in the studio” right now), even January Jones asked in the comments where she could get them, while Kelly Rowland all-capped her enthusiasm with the two words we were all collectively thinking: “I WANT!”
