On any given day, we can look pretty different than we did the day before. Whether we had time to do our makeup or blow out our hair can make a significant difference in our appearance. The same goes, perhaps even more so, for celebrities. We can see them dressed up at an awards show looking one way, then not even recognize them a month later on the cover of a magazine.
We mention this because it’s unusual for us to make a fuss over a celebrity that looks slightly different than they did a day, or even a year ago. Uma Thurman’s recent transformation, however, is one of those we just can’t overlook.
Some of us here at NewBeauty chalk it up to her super straight hairstyle, while others claim that a change in her makeup is the culprit. But many think she may have had some recent cosmetic work done. That’s why we asked experts to weigh in—they both agreed it was the latter.
Melbourne, FL plastic surgeon Michael Diaz, MD, says it “looks like she got her eyelids done, particularly the lowers.” Plus, the doctor says she also looks like she got fillers in her nasiolabial folds skin resurfacing and Botox. Boston plastic surgeon Jeffrey Spiegel, MD, says “she looks significantly ‘less good'” and it could be aging, or because she got over-injected.
