The latest A-lister to show her love for both is Selena Gomez. Just days ago, the "Ice Cream" singer celebrated her 32nd birthday with a simple "blushing nude" design. And this week? She’s flipped the script with a textured "bubblegum disco manicure" that epitomizes the still-popular Barbiecore trend that peaked when the movie came out last year.
The creative mastermind behind the look was her go-to nail artist, Tom Bachik. (His clients also include Heidi Klum, Jennifer Lopez, and Camila Cabello, to name just a few.) He posted an up-close photo of Gomez's manicure to his Instagram grid with the caption, "Girls just wanna have Bubblegum Disco Nails." The look features a long, square-shaped design. And true to its name, Bachik painted them bubblegum-pink (the exact shade remains a mystery) with a textured and sparkly finish.

Bachik wasn’t as tight-lipped about the process for that one. On Instagram, he shared that he used the Aprés Nail gel polish in “Forgotten Film,” a sheer, neutral shade, before finishing with the Kokoist USA Ultra Glossy Non Wipe Top Coat Gel for a touch of elegant shine.
Gomez's manicure reminds us of another iconic, very-pink look: Klum's bright, stiletto-shaped neon nails. The model showed fans her bold acrylics on her Instagram feed on July 22, paired with black Intimissimi lingerie and sunglasses, making her nails pop—even more evidence that the Barbie movie's influence still reigns supreme a year later.
