From celebrities to influencers and buyers alike, Glossier's You rocked the fragrance world, with it's skin-enhancing technology and alluring smell that is known to earn compliments from strangers. While it seemed like Glossier was continuing on its You train with the expansion into body lotions this past month, a pleasantly shocking turn of events last night revealed that the brand is launching two entirely new fragrances next month: Rêve and Doux.
Glossier Rêve and Glossier Doux: Everything We Know So Far
For weeks now, Glossier has been teasing a surprise development across social media, but fans were in absolute awe when the brand revealed just last night that the news is not one but two brand-new fragrances launching next week: Doux ($78) and Rêve ($78). So, what do they smell like? At the core of both fragrances is the brand's iconic skin-enhancing technology, creating a different profile on each wearer, but in their base notes and layers the new Glossier perfumes differ greatly.
The first of the two new launches, Doux, is a "fragrance that embodies the balance of you by showcasing how strong softness can be," the brand writes, "Doux is a serene, woody blend, with warm, musky base notes." Top to bottom, Doux features notes of sweet violet, palo santo, frankincense, myrrh, ambrette and ambrox.
On the other end, Rêve is, as the brand puts it, "a lush and dreamy gourmand fragrance designed to capture a rush of you." Perfect for those sweet fragrance lovers, the top to bottom makeup of Rêve consists of notes of buttercream, plum butter, toasted almond, iris, sandalwood and the same bases of ambrette and ambrox. Both fragrances retail for $78 each and will be available on glossier.com starting October 3.
