It’s officially spring and the floral fragrances are in full bloom. Another big theme we’re seeing right now is Mediterranean-inspired scents with a coastal vibe not to be taken too seriously. And surprisingly, despite the current demand, there’s a lot less gourmand in the mix this month. Whether you prefer something crisp and light or deep and indulgent, or perhaps you’re on the hunt for a new signature scent, there’s are several noteworthy launches in the category this month. Below, see our list of the best new fragrances for April, which can change your mood and express your personal style with a quick little spritz.
The Best New Fragrances This Month
Future Society Cloud Reverie Eau de Parfum ($98)
The newest launch from Arcaea & Jasmina Aganovic’s cult-favorite fragrance brand is a unique one. Created from real cloud microbes collected above Boston (they were captured, incubated and sequenced), the scent came to life via the nose of master perfumer Daniela Andrier. Described as a “soft, atmospheric fragrance that drifts and evolves like the sky itself,” it combines vanilla, iris accord, sweet sugar, aquatic blooms, oceanic fucus and musk, but in a nontraditional sense without top, middle or base notes.

Dolce&Gabbana Beauty Light Blue Eau De Parfum ($147 for 1.7oz)
When you can’t make it to the Mediterranean, spritz this instead. A more concentrated version of the original, beloved eau de toilette, the scent captures the radiant warmth of a sun-soaked Italian vacation in a bottle. Created by master perfumer Olivier Cresp, the floral-woody fragrance features top notes of Sicilian lemon, Calabrian bergamot and a hint of spicy pink pepper. At the heart is a mix of frangipani, cinnamon bark and marigold, and at the base, warm, ambery woods and balsamic benzoin.

Bond No.9 Tuxedo Park Eau de Parfum ($470 for 3.4 oz)
As Earth Day approaches, iconic fragrance house Bond No.9 introduces an ode to one of New York’s most exclusive enclaves for historic mansions: Tuxedo Park. The brand says the park’s “rolling hills, pristine lakes and winding carriage paths were carefully constructed and preserved as a living landscape of leisure.” Founder Laurice Rahmé adds, “We didn’t just choose any park. Tuxedo Park is the embodiment of quiet, outdoor chic and has an incredible New York heritage.”
Key notes include tart yuzu, tangerine, bitter orange, white grapefruit and Persian lime at the top; jasmine, tuberose, pink pepper, petitgrain and Cristalfizz (a champagne sparkle); and oud accord, saffiano, musk and ambroxan at the base.

NOYZ Rinse Cycle Eau de Parfum ($85 for 3.4 oz)
This is the perfume for anyone who loves to smell their clean laundry, right when it comes warm out of the dryer. A fresh musk fragrance that the brand describes as “skin-close, quietly powerful and subtly sweet,” this new launch is comfy and classic—something you’ll reach for every day, no matter the season. Top notes are guava, lemon and Anjou pear; mid notes are cherry blossom, musk flower and pink waterlily; base notes are liquid musk, vanilla bean and sandalwood.

Maison Margiela Fragrances Blaze of Stillness Eau de Parfum ($350 for 2.5 oz)
From Maison Margiela Fragrances’ new haute-parfumerie Scentsorium collection comes six genderless fragrances that the brand says “examine the connection between emotions, raw materials and scent. Each fragrance evolves from a simple set of ingredients that is then separated, modified and reunited to demonstrate the complex dualities of human experience.” Our favorite is Blaze of Stillness, an amber-floral scent that highlights neroli blossom, fig and suede accord in a beautiful, memorable way.

Henry Rose Ripe Eau de Parfum ($120 for 1.7 oz)
For all you fruity-floral fans, this new fragrance from Michelle Pfeiffer’s Henry Rose was “inspired by a moment suspended in sunlight. It captures the feeling of abundance at its peak: warm air, lush fruit, petals catching the light and skin that glows from within.” Top notes include lychee rose, watermelon sorbet, green leaves, cardamom and black pepper. The heart is a bouquet of jasmine, peony, rosewater and wisteria, and the base features upcycled orcanox, musks and sandalwood.

Moroccanoil Lumière du Jour Eau de Parfum ($105 for 2 oz)
This musky, woody-floral scent has a beautiful Mediterranean essence to it and was inspired by “the calm brightness of early morning light on the coast.” Top notes include rock salt, fig leaf, and juniper; the heart is a mix of orange flower, jasmine buds and tuberose blooms; and the warm base highlights white amber, musks and soft blonde woods.

IGGYWOO Lost In Vanillatopia Eau de Parfum ($198 for 2 oz)
The latest crave-worthy scent from Iggywoo (the fragrance house founded by British self-taught perfumer Richard Saint-Ford) has that addictive quality that keeps you wanting more. The brand describes it as a “vanilla fantasy world” with top notes of Damask rose and grapefruit; mid notes of solar-amber-musk, skin musk and honeysuckle; and base notes of vanilla accord, amber accord and tonka bean.
“I created this to deliberately separate our idea of amber–vanilla from everything else out there,” says Saint-Ford. “Vanillatopia isn’t about sugary comfort or hyper-nostalgia—it’s an atmospheric fantasy. I wanted vanilla to feel infinite and suspended, wrapped in amber and soft woods, with light breaking through in unexpected ways. It’s familiar at first, then it drifts somewhere else entirely. This is a gourmand born under a different sun.”

Guerlain Eau de Tulle Eau de Parfum ($250 for 3.4 oz)
Inspired by the world of weddings, this fragrance is one you’ll want to get married in. “If Eau de Tulle were a textile material, it would be a bridal veil made of delicate, ethereal tulle,” says Delphine Jelk, Guerlain director of perfume creation and master perfumer. It’s joyful, sophisticated and has a second-skin effect, with key notes of sugared almonds, orange blossom and white musk.

EX NIHILO Lust in Paradise Extrait de Parfum ($345 for 1.7oz)
This is a bolder take on the original Lust in Paradise EDP created by Louise Turner in 2019 to “capture the glow of a French Riviera sunset.” The brand says that “while the original fragrance was defined by a luminous floral and musky signature, this new addition to the QUINTESSENCE Collection offers a significantly more intense, tangy and woody interpretation.” The new notes enriching the juice include pink pepper, red ginger, blackcurrant, cedarwood, Ambrofix™ and Akigalawood.

Montblanc Neroli Letters Eau de Parfum ($160 for 4.2 oz)
This new citrusy, unisex fragrance is a nod to Montblanc’s heritage and was meant to evoke “the sunlit charm of Mediterranean shores.” Perfumer Bruno Jovanovic says, "My initial idea was to design a powerful, chic and deliciously bitter eau de parfum. I took the best of nature and technology, combining naturals with overpowering, vibrant woods for an intense olfactory experience.”
