Eva Longoria is a self-proclaimed open book—especially when it comes to her beauty secrets. The 42-year-old mother-to-be recently sat down with us for a rapid-fire round on regrets, raccoon eyes and what she REALLY thinks of her famous Desperate Housewives’ role.

My most embarrassing beauty moment:
“Somebody sent me this horrible high-definition powder and it reflected in paparazzi photos. When I put it on, it felt so soft and my skin looked good in the mirror, but in photos I looked like a raccoon!”

The beauty trend I wish I never tried:
“Thin eyebrows. Not good.”

The makeup move I still can’t master:
“I always say a prayer before I apply liquid eyeliner. You have to say that prayer.”

The crazy beauty thing I’ve never admitted before:
“I’ve admitted everything!”

The current beauty trend I just can’t pull off:
“It’s more of a past beauty trend, but I wasn’t into the natural makeup look. I love makeup! I’m glad the trend right now is heavy makeup. Makeup, makeup, makeup! Bring on the makeup!”

The beauty product I can’t live without:
“There are two: mascara and sunblock.”

The one thing I never leave the house without:
“Sunblock.”

All day I obsessively:
“Eat and drink.”

The last product I put on at night:
“My moisturizer.”

The one thing I wish I could fix:
“World peace, but on a smaller scale, I wish I could do something with my bottom crooked teeth. I’ve done braces before, but they just keep moving back.”

The beauty habit I wish I could break:
“None. I love beauty habits. I don’t want to get rid of any!”

The hygiene habit I hate doing:
“I hate brushing my teeth! I do it twice a day, but it really pisses me off sometimes.”

My biggest beauty regret:
“It’s more of a mistake I used to make, but wearing my foundation too light. I went a good five years with a very white face and a very tan body. It’s not a good look.”

My advice to my character, Gaby, on Desperate Housewives:
“Gaby Solis thought she was into fashion, but she wore some LOUD clothes—the labels, the prints. My advice to her would be stick to the classics. Go for that classic look.”
