Botox and other neurotoxins are no longer Hollywood’s best-kept secret. More stars than ever are speaking openly about their treatments, whether they’re sharing why they love the results, explaining why they’ve scaled back or simply treating injectables as one more part of their beauty routine.
The wrinkle-relaxing category spans six FDA-approved botulinum toxin products for aesthetic use in the U.S.: Botox Cosmetic, Dysport, Xeomin, Jeuveau, Daxxify and Letybo. Though their formulations and approved uses vary, they all temporarily reduce targeted muscle activity to soften expression lines. Neurotoxins are also used beyond the upper face, with certain applications FDA-approved and others performed off-label.
Ahead, the celebrities who have opened up about getting Botox and other neurotoxins, from what they love about their results to why their approach has changed over time.

Christie Brinkley
Christie Brinkley has been candid about using neurotoxins beyond the usual facial treatment areas. “I will do a little Botox in the neck,” she previously told NewBeauty. “I need to do that and because it does tighten up those little bands that start to poke out.”

Kristin Chenoweth
Emmy and Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth has lived with chronic migraine since she was 25, but it took years to find a treatment that helped. “I found a doctor who worked with me tirelessly to find a treatment for me and that would be the Botox for Chronic Migraine,” she told NewBeauty in a 2022 interview. “When I started getting the treatments, I was probably in my early 40s. It has not cured me—I want to be clear—but it is preventative.”

Cindy Crawford
Cindy Crawford was speaking openly about Botox long before celebrity treatment disclosures became commonplace, and her take was refreshingly matter-of-fact. “I’m not going to lie to myself, past a certain age, creams work on the texture of your skin but, in order to restore elasticity, all I can really count on is vitamin injections, Botox and collagen,” Crawford told InStyle back in 2006. “I have a very simple, healthy life, which works miracles. I drink a lot of water, watch what I eat, and exercise…but I owe the quality of my skin to my cosmetic surgeon.”

Joe Jonas
Joe Jonas has helped bring men into the injectables conversation, telling Allure in 2022 that Xeomin made him feel more comfortable and confident without making him feel unlike himself.
"Xeomin was something that I felt like was a good fit with my daily routines," Jonas said. "I care a lot about what I put in my body and, and obviously, in an aesthetic treatment. I really felt that Xeomin was something that I could be comfortable with and it wasn't overwhelming. While I didn't feel like I was a different person [by using it], it gave me that confidence that I think we all want to feel as we get older. There's this kind of stigma around guys talking about skincare and how we feel and, and the products we use. I felt like it was a good fit."

"Aging gets us to where we want to be, and that’s for me a long life,” she said. “[Makeup artist] Kevyn Aucoin was so afraid of wrinkles and he never got them.
